How to Align Vanagon Headlights

The Volkswagen Vanagon has adjustable headlights. One screw on the top of the headlight housing controls the vertical adjustment of the headlight beam. A screw on the inside edge of the headlight housing controls the lateral adjustment of the headlight beam. Every time you replace the headlight housing or remove it, you need to align the headlights again. Aligning the headlights assures that you obtain the optimum illumination in front of your Vanagon without blinding oncoming traffic.
