How to Draw a Wind Turbine
A wind turbine is a structure that captures wind energy and turns it into electricity. Although there are a multitude of models and designs, wind turbines typically have three vertical rotating blades, similar in appearance to airplane propellers. Modern wind turbines are usually located in fields (or even over water) with many other wind turbines. They are controlled by computers that turn the blades into the wind.

1
Draw a long, slender vertical pole, represented by two vertical lines of equal length, side by side.
-
2
Using a compass, lightly draw a circle, the center of which is located at the top of the pole you drew in Step 1. The circle should be as wide in diameter as the pole, but half of the circle will be located above the pole.
-
-
3
Divide the circle into three equal wedges. The divisions between the wedges are the blades of the turbine.
-
4
Draw a small circle at the top of the pole, over the nexus of the three wedges you drew in Step 3.This is the joint around which the blades will rotate.
-
5
With darker lines placed over the lines you originally drew, thicken the blades of the turbine so they are shaped like knives--pointed at the end and wider at the base.
-
6
Erase the original lines for the blades, and erase the circle you drew in Step 2.
