Hanging a Bead Curtain
-
1
Place one of the curtain rod brackets flush against the window casing at the inside top corner of the window. Mark the spots for the screws onto the casing with a pencil.
-
2
Drill pilot holes over each mark. Attach the bracket to the window casing.
-
-
3
Measure the exact placement of the bracket and then attach the second bracket on the opposite window casing. Follow these same steps if you'd like to hang a curtain of beads in a doorway.
-
4
Add a monofilament line loop to each beaded strand, if necessary. The curtain of beads may already have a loop for hanging. To add a loop, cut a 10-inch length of monofilament line. Thread it halfway through the last few beads on the strand. Knot the ends of the line together with a triple overhand knot. Cover the knot with jeweler's glue and let it dry.
-
5
Thread the curtain rod through the loops in each bead strand. Place the curtain rod onto the brackets.
