Whether you need to display your customer’s name on a form in multiple locations or you need a simple way to quickly update repeated data throughout an entire document, Microsoft Word 2007’s Document Properties offer a quick and simple way of repeating text throughout a document. You don't need to know how to use XML, Visual Basic, or other macro languages is not necessary to repeat data in Word 2007

Repeating Text in Word 2007
Place the cursor at the location in your document where you want the first instance of your repeated data to appear.
Select the “Insert” tab from the Office menu bar and click on the “Quick Parts” button. Choose “Document Property” from the menu.
Select “Abstract” from the "Document Property" sub-menu to insert a new content control into your document.
When the content control box appears, enter the data you want repeated; click outside of the control box when you are finished entering your data to complete editing.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 whenever you want your repeated data to appear again in the document, choosing "Abstract" each time. Word 2007 will automatically fill the content control with the data entered in the first box.
Tips & Warnings
- Use other content controls from the “Document Property” sub-menu to repeat multiple sets of data throughout a document. Word 2007 comes with 15 different content controls that can be inserted into a document, which means that you can easily duplicate up to 15 sets of data.
- Word 2007 will automatically update every instance of repeated data if any single content control is changed. If you make a change to your repeated data anywhere in the document, every other instance of that data will automatically update.
