How to Build Chinese Puzzle Boxes
Creating a chinese puzzle box is a fun craft that takes a little time and a few woodworking tools. All you have to do is make small wooden cubes, glue them together correctly, and wait for them to dry. When the puzzle pieces are finished, the real fun can begin as you attempt to put it all together into a cube shape.

Place the square dowel flat on a cutting table. Use the saw to cut the tip off the dowel and create an even cube. Set the cube aside.

Continue to cut from the side of the dowel that you cut the first cube. Cut another cube, the same size as the first and set it aside.

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until you have created 27 cubes.

Sand the sides and edges of each cube until it is smooth and even.

Take one cube and place wood glue along the side of it. Place the side of another cube against the glued surface. Place the cubes in a vice or under a heavy book to dry.

Wait for all the pieces to dry. If desired, paint or wood finish each piece after the glue is dry. Wait for the paint to dry.

Put the pieces together in the correct arrangement to make them into one box shape.
