How to Clean a Zebra Printer

Zebra printers are popular choices for printing labels and other specialty documents in both home and office settings. With the right care and maintenance, these printers can provide many years of trouble-free service. So it is important for printer owners to know how to clean them properly.

Things You'll Need

  • Clean soft cloth
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Cotton swabs
  • Turn off your printer and disconnect the power cord. Press the cover release button to open the cover.

  • Carefully remove the roll of labels from inside the printer.

  • Dampen a clean cloth with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol. Use only enough to moisten the cloth slightly. Wipe the interior of the printer with the cloth to pick up any accumulated dirt and paper dust.

  • Dip a cotton swab in the isopropyl alcohol and carefully swab the crevices of the printer. Swab the interior of the printer until all dirt and paper dust have been removed.

  • Allow the printer to sit for a few minutes until it has dried completely.

  • Place the roll of labels back in the printer, close the cover and turn the printer back on.
