How to Convert Windows Media Audio File to iTunes
Windows Media Audio (WMA) files may be converted and imported into iTunes with just a few simple steps, provided that the WMA files are not copy protected. Using Windows Media Player (versions 9 and above) WMA files are converted into the ".m3u" file type. The files may then be dragged and dropped into the iTunes interface, and then synched with the device during the next synch process.

Open the Windows Media Player.

Add the WMA files to be converted to iTunes to the Windows Media Player playlist.

Click the down arrow under the "Now Playing" button on the top navigation bar.

Select the "Export Playlist" option.

Open the iTunes interface on the computer.

Drag and drop the newly converted .m3u files into the iTunes interface.

Synchronize iTunes with the handheld device. The newly converted audio files will be imported.

Tips & Warnings
Windows Media Audio (WMA) files that are copy protected using the Windows Copy Protection may not be imported into iTunes. Convert these files to another file type, burn to CD, and then re-import into iTunes.
