How to Use an AT&T Blackjack as a USB Modem
The AT&T Blackjack has the ability to act as a USB modem for your laptop. Using AT&T's GPRS and 3G data coverage network, the phone can provide Internet access at speeds slightly faster than a standard 56K dial-up telephone modem.

Open the "Settings" menu on your Blackjack and choose "Connection" to access the phone's connectivity options.

Select "USB" and change the option from "ActiveSync" to "Modem."

Connect your Blackjack to your laptop using the Samsung data cable and allow the computer to install the proper dial-up modem drivers.

Open the "Network Connections" folder from within your laptop's "Control Panel" and locate the new "Dial-Up" modem.

Right-click the "Dial-Up" modem icon and open the "Properties" dialog box.

Change the telephone access number to *99#.

Double-click the new modem icon to initiate dial-up access to the Internet through the Blackjack.

Tips & Warnings
This method of connecting to the Internet will use a significant amount of data on your Blackjack, which can result in extremely high cell phone bills. It is best to subscribe to AT&T's unlimited data tethering package prior to attempting this method of Internet connection.
