How to Remove the Pedestal From a Dynex LCD TV

Having a LCD TV with a built-in pedestal is convenient when you are setting the TV on a table or stand. However, if you decide that you want to mount your TV on the wall, the pedestal becomes a little less convenient. In fact, if you want to mount your Dynex LCD to the wall the pedestal has to come off altogether.

Things You'll Need

  • Table (or other flat surface)
  • Blanket
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Unplug your TV from its power source.

  • Lay a blanket down on a table or another flat surface. This will help keep your LCD screen from getting scratched during the pedestal removal.

  • Lay your TV face down on the blanket.

  • Use the screwdriver to remove the three screws from the bottom of the pedestal.

  • Pull the pedestal from away from the TV.

Tips & Warnings

  • The number of screws connecting the pedestal to the TV may vary from model to model.
