The blinking green light on a Kenmore dishwasher can be a confusing indicator light for many users. The light starts flashing when the dishwasher stops running. In order to fix the dishwasher when the green light is blinking, you need to address the reason for the blinking light. When you fix the blinking light issue, you can resume normal operation of your Kenmore dishwasher and finish the selected cleaning cycle.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check that the door of the dishwasher is fully closed, and shut it if it is ajar. The light will start blinking if the door is opened in the middle of a cleaning cycle.

  2. Step 2

Push the plug fully into the electrical outlet. The power supply to the washing machine might be interrupted if the plug is not secure in the outlet, causing the light to flash. The same problem may occur if the power flashes while the dishwasher is running.

  3. Step 3

Press the "Start/Resume" button to continue the cleaning cycle. The dishwasher will start up again as long as the door is shut and the dishwasher is receiving power.
