How to Replace Drawers for a Kenmore Refrigerator

A refrigerator is a purchase that should last years, but some components--such as the drawers--can be damaged long before the appliance needs to be replaced. Instructions

1. Locate the model number of your Kenmore refrigerator. Look inside the refrigerator and for a silver or white label on the side or back wall. Write down the number on the label.

2. Call customer service and order the drawer. This number can be found in the owner's manual. Tell the representative you need to replace a drawer for your Kenmore refrigerator. Provide them the model number and the drawer description: crisper or bottom drawer.

3. Remove the old drawer by pulling it out and angling it up when it is fully opened. This will release the slider and allow the drawer to be pulled out.

4. Unpack and wash your new drawer.

5. Slide the new drawer into place. Make sure it fits snugly but not tightly. If it is the correct drawer, it shouldn't stick or fit awkwardly. If it does not operate smoothly, call customer service and troubleshoot the problem.
