Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the battery at the positive terminal by turning the bolt in a counterclockwise direction. Stow the terminal away from the battery.

    • 2

Remove the power window switches by prying up one side of the assembly, then pulling them out. The switch assembly has tabs that hold it to the door panel. Disconnect the switch assembly from the wiring harness by pulling the adapter plugs apart, or on some models, by pulling the plug out of the rear of the switch assembly.

    • 3

Remove the inside screws on the interior door handle by turning them counterclockwise with a screwdriver.

    • 4

Remove the armrest bolts by turning them counterclockwise, if applicable.

    • 5

Pull the door panel from the plastic pop rivets that hold it to the metal. Firmly tug on a corner, then work your way around, to disengage the panel from the rivets. Some rivets may become brittle with age and will require replacement.

    • 9

Connect the wiring harness to the motor by pushing the adapter plugs together.

Replace the door panel by pressing it into the metal, engaging the pop rivets one by one with a firm tap. Replace the armrest bolts and door handle screws by turning them clockwise.
