How to make homemade classic Halloween cupcakes for this Halloween.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 5/7 cups of all pupose flour
  • 3/8 of cup corn starch
  • 1 1/4 of teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 normal eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • This is for The Frosting.
  • 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of soft butter
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  1. Step 1

    The first thing you will want to do is to preheat the oven to 350*F. Once you have that getting hot you will want to start mixing in a mixing bowl, cream butter until it gets light and fluffy. Also add sugar and continue mixing gradually add the eggs and vanilla to the mixture and proceed with mixing.

  2. Step 2

    After That you will want to combine the dry ingredients together then alternating and adding the dry ingredients into the butter mixture with milk also. You will want to mix everything well together.

  3. Step 3

    After Making the batter for your Halloween cookies you will want to pour it into paper lined muffin tins until about 3/4 is full. Once that is done you will want to bake your cupcakes until they are golden brown on top and the center is firm or an easier way to tell their done is to stick a toothpick into the center of the cupcakes, when they are done baking the toothpick should slide right out.

  4. Step 4

    Now this will teach you how to make the frosting for you Halloween cupcakes. First thing you will want to do is combine the powdered sugar, soft butter, vanilla, and a small amount of milk all in one mixing bowl.
    After putting it all in one bowl you will want to hand mix it on low speed, gradually add small amounts of milk to get the consistency that you are looking for, the more milk the more creamy and smooth the frosting will become.

  5. Step 5

    After you have reached your desired consistency add food coloring to create the Halloween Spirit.

Tips & Warnings
  • You could use corn starch instead of the 3 cups of flour if you like.
  • Cook them slow and carefully cause they might shrink.
