A brake line lock is a front brake valve that will close to brake line when initiated by the driver. The system brakes the front wheels while the rear wheels continue to turn. A line lock is used in racing situations to prevent the car from rolling forward at the start. The line lock has no bearing on normal driving, as the brakes work normally when it is not engaged.

Installing the Line Lock
Find a location to mount that solenoid that is near the fuse box between the master brake cylinder and front wheel cylinders. The solenoid should be placed in a location where there will be minimal bending of the lines. Do not mount the unit at this time.
Purchase the proper-sized bushing adapter to attach to the solenoid two-threaded port. The two sizes available are 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch inverted flair or 1/8-inch to 3/16-inch inverted flair.
Connect the adapter to the solenoid ports. Mount the solenoid to the location found in step one.
Connect the brake lines to the adapter on the solenoid using brake line fittings to prevent fluid leaking. Make sure the master brake cylinder is connected to the port listed as master.
Connect the solenoid wires using a barrel connector. There is one ground wire and one hot wire. Make sure the black ground wire is attached to a clean contact area. Connect the fuse holder between the solenoid and 12-volt power source.
Disconnect the battery, then wire and mount the micro-switch on the dashboard with a 22-gauge wire. Mount the switch in an area that has easy access. There will be two wires; one connects to the solenoid and one to the positive on the 12-volt power system. Secure all loose wires to prevent them catching on moving parts. Reconnect the battery.
Bleed the brake system to release any air build up. Refill the brake system with fluid.
Test the system with wheels off the ground. Make adjustments if necessary.
