How to Wear a Protective Cup
Many sports require the use of a protective cup. Any sport or activity that includes the possibility of violent contact and possible injury screams for the use of the protective cup. This useful device has been used for many years to thwart injuries to the ... ahem ... delicate parts. In order for the cup to provide the best protection, it must be worn correctly.
Things You'll Need
- Jockstrap with a protective-cup lining
- Protective cup of the correct size

1
Choose the correct size of protective cup. It is important that the cup not be too big nor too small. The cup must fit snugly over the genitals, without undo movement or any pinching.
-
2
If used in a jockstrap, the cup must be snugged up against the groin, so there must be no slack. This helps to avoid injuries.

The only way to tell if a cup is working properly is through trial and error. Put it on and see if it works during activity. If it doesn't, you will realize it right away. In that case, a new size or readjustment is necessary.
