How to Clean an Acrylic Sheet
Acrylic sheets are used in a variety of different businesses, educational institutions and other organizations. The material is impact-resistant and very durable. To properly care for your acrylic sheets, clean them with the right type of chemical. Harsh solutions can damage the material. Things You'll Need
- Paper towels
- Rubber gloves
- Lint-free soft clothes
- Brillianize Acrylic Cleaner or other chemical designed for cleaning acrylic

Place the acrylic sheet on a clean, lint-free surface covered with paper towels if the sheet is small, or prop against a wall or other surface if the sheet is large. Wear rubber gloves and handle the acrylic sheet by the edges.

Wipe the sheet by gently sweeping a lint-free soft cloth over the surface to remove any loose dust or dirt. Make sure you sweep both sides of the acrylic sheet.

Spray a small amount of Brillianize Acrylic Cleaner or other cleaner specifically designed for cleaning acrylic onto another soft cloth and onto the acrylic sheet. Wipe gently with a lint-free cloth until the cleaner is totally gone.

Stand the acrylic sheet on its edge, if it is on a flat surface, to clean the other side.

Let the acrylic sheet dry by propping it against a wall or other surface. Handle the acrylic sheet by its edges to place it back into use after it is dry.

Tips & Warnings
Don't use a window cleaner like Windex or other ammonia-based cleaner. These chemicals will damage your acrylic. Don't use an abrasive or caustic cleaner. Don't use WD-40 or any other petroleum-based chemical on your acrylic sheets. Never use a scrubbing pad or other abrasive pad to clean your acrylic.
