    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Card stock paper
    • Crayons
    • Scissors
    • Glue
      • 1

Print out a top hat template with Mickey Mouse ears from Disney Family (See Resources) on regular paper and cut out the patterns to trace to card stock paper.

      • 2

Color in the tracings. Rather than a St. Patrick's Day theme, color the entire hat and Mickey Mouse ears black and keep the ribbon on the hat red and the buckle yellow.

      • 3

Cut the templates out of the card stock paper.

      • 4

Combine the front panel of the hat with the back panel of the hat by gluing the tabs to each other.

      • 5

Fold the "C" label tabs for the top of the top hat to the backside. Add glue along the inside top rim of the front and back panels of the hat and insert the top, pressing the "C" label tabs onto the glue.

      • 6

Fold the "D" label tabs for the brim of the hat to the backside. Add glue along the inside bottom rim of the front and back panels of the hat and line up the brim so that the dotted lines appear at the side for the ears. Press the "D" label tabs onto the glue.

      • 7

Fold each ear in half at the dotted line and glue the fold together, leaving the tabs unglued. Position the sharp corner of the ears to the inside rim of the brim and glue down the tab to the dotted line on the brim and against the wall of the top hat.
