Halloween is the one time each year you can dress up without remorse. However, many people find it difficult to think of Halloween costume ideas. With a little planning, it is easy to brainstorm a fantastic Halloween costume or even couples Halloween costumes. Read below to easily brainstorm a good Halloween costume.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet
  • Accessories
  1. Step 1

Start with one item you really want to wear. Perhaps you want to carry around a sword, or you have some funky shoes, or a boa. It can even be a crazy hairdo. It’s easy to build a Halloween costume around a starting point.

  2. Step 2

Brainstorm people from history, books, or movies who would wear that item you have. For example a sword could be worn by Captain Hook, Jack Sparrow, or King Arthur.

  3. Step 3

Systematically think through each area of the body to add some pizzazz to your costume. A good Halloween costume is all about attention to detail. For example, on your hands do you need gloves, rings, or a pirate hook?

  4. Step 4

Come up with a budget for your Halloween costume. It’s easy to get carried away, only to realize later that you spent too much.

  5. Step 5

Look on eBay or at thrift stores for additional inspiration to find items that will make your Halloween costume amazing.

  6. Step 6

Wow your friends and amaze trick or treaters with your great Halloween costume.
