How to Connect iPod to VX Commodore

The VX Commodore was an automobile manufactured in Australia by a unit of General Motors from 2000 to 2002. Connecting an iPod to this vehicle can be done through the use of an FM transmitter kit available at most electronics stores.

Things You'll Need

• VX Commodore automobile
• iPod personal audio device
• FM transmitter kit

Instructions

1. Connect the 1/8-inch mini-plug from the FM transmitter to the headphone jack on your iPod.

2. Set the FM frequency you wish to use on the transmitter. For example, choose "88.5 FM." Make sure you do not select a frequency that is already preset on your Commodore's FX radio.

3. Plug the iPod power adapter into the AC outlet or cigarette lighter of your VX commodore.

4. Dial the Commodore's FM radio to the same frequency set for your FM transmitter. Turn on your iPod and play tunes through the VX Commodore's stereo system.
