Step 1
Begin the Thanksgiving cornucopia by slightly overlapping four paper plates. On the right end and underneath the first four plates, place a fifth plate slightly higher than the other four.
-
Step 2
Attach the five plates together. You can either do this with a stapler or use glue or tape on the bottom side of the plates.
-
Step 3
Use scissors to cut a “tail” in the last plate. Just cut a small section out of that plate so that it curls up like the end of a Thanksgiving cornucopia.
-
Step 4
Use brown paint (for instance water color or tempera) to paint the entire paper plate cornucopia. Allow it to dry.
-
Step 5
Look through the ads in the newspaper for the grocery stores or through cooking magazines for pictures of vegetables and cut them out. Glue these pictures to the first plate on the Thanksgiving cornucopia that represents the opening.
-
Step 6
Poke two holes in the top of the cornucopia. String yarn through the holes to use a hanger so the cornucopia can be hung.
