How to Make Bead Craft Icicle Ornaments

Things You'll Need

  • 1 chenille stick, cut into three 4-inch stems

  • 11 starflake crystal beads, 18mm

  • 3 clear/crystal tri-beads

  • 3 clear/crystal 6mm round facet beads

  • About 7-inch of thread or nylon craft/bead wire

  • White glue

Icicle ornaments made from clear or crystal beads capture the lights beautifully to create a dazzling ornament addition to any Christmas tree. These bead ornaments are inexpensive to make and are quick and easy crafts that anyone can make. Handmade icicle ornaments also make great gifts.

Step 1

Place a dab of glue at one end of a 4-inch stem and slide two round facet beads onto the end. The glue will keep these end beads in place in order to form a solid structure for the rest of the beaded ornament.

Step 2

Slide the three tri-beads on to the long part of the stem of this beaded Christmas ornament.

Step 3

Slide the 11 starflake beads on to the long part of the beaded ornament stem.

Step 4

Make a hanger for these icicle ornaments, by tying the two ends of the 7-inch thread or nylon bead wire together to form a loop. Tie the loop onto the end remaining end of the bead craft stem. Place a dab of glue on the remaining end of the stem and then place the one remaining round facet bead on the end to complete these bead craft icicle ornaments.
