    Things You'll Need

    • Wax paper
    • Crayons
    • Potato peeler
    • Scissors
    • Iron
    • Towel
    • Ironing board
    • Cookie sheet
      • 1

Cut two equal-sized rectangular-shaped pieces of wax paper. Use your scissors to cut the pieces from the roll. This will give you a clean cut.

      • 2

Lay a piece of wax paper down on the cookie sheet. It doesn't matter which side you use.

      • 3

Unwrap the paper off the crayons you'll be using. Use a scraper or peeler to scrape the crayons onto the wax paper.

      • 4

Sprinkle the shavings around the wax paper, arranging the colors how you want them. Leave a two-inch border around the sides of the wax paper.

      • 5

Lay a towel down on the ironing board and heat the iron to a low heat. Remove the wax sheet from the cookie sheet and place it on the towel.

      • 6

Place the second sheet of wax paper on top of the crayon shavings. Press the wax paper with the iron sealing in and melt the crayons.

      • 7

Cool down the wax paper by letting it sit on the towel for a few minutes. Turn off your iron.
