How to Make a Homemade Lip Gloss

Things You'll Need
- Petroleum jelly
- Microwaveable bowl
- Small tins (Altoid tins work well)
- Flavored extract (coconut, watermelon, orange, grape)
- Fruit-flavored water bottle drink packet (white)
- Food coloring
- Honey

Place 1 cup of petroleum jelly and 2 tbs. of honey into a microwaveable bowl and put it in the microwave on high heat for 15-30 seconds.

Remove from the microwave and immediately pour one flavored drink packet into the mixture. Stir well. Put in 5 to 7 drops of the fruit extract. Stir again.

Add one drop of food coloring at a time. Stir. About 5 to 7 drops should be enough for a shiny tint of color. Drop in 8 to 15 drops for a darker hue.

Pour the mixture into small tins and close tightly. Place the tins in the refrigerator.

To use, dip the tip of your index finger into the lip gloss and spread onto the lips. Reapply as needed.
