How to Make Homemade Button Earrings
Buttons have many uses in addition to holding together shirts and pants. Some people use them for decorating items such as picture frames or vases. Others create bracelets and necklaces out of different colored buttons. Jewelry lovers may be surprised to learn that buttons also make for unusual earring embellishments. Whether you give them as gifts or wear them yourself, homemade button earrings will allow you to show off your creativity.
Instructions

1
Select two buttons to decorate your earrings with. Choose two identical ones for a traditional look. Alternatively, create a funky, asymmetrical look with two buttons of different textures and colors.
-
2
Plug in the glue gun, which will heat up in approximately two or three minutes. As you wait, use a pin to make two small holes in the card stock.
-
-
3
Place an earring post into each hole in the card stock. Secure each post in place by putting the clutch, or earring back, on it. Lay the card stock down on a flat surface. Doing so will eliminate the need to hold the post in one hand as you attach the button.
-
4
Dispense enough glue to cover the mounting face of the post. Press a button against the glue.
-
5
Leave the project aside to dry for at least an hour.
