How to Reinstall SP3
Service Pack 3 (SP3) is a Windows XP update that includes security updates for multiple Windows programs, improved network drivers and hotfixes for Internet Explorer. Service Pack also includes all previously released updates from Service Pack 1 and 2. If your computer has become corrupt, freezes or crashes, you can uninstall Service Pack 3 and perform a new reinstall. This process ensures that drivers and system folders are working well to ensure your computer performs optimally.

Click Windows Start > Control Panel.

Click "Add or Remove Programs" to open Programs and Applications. Click "Show Updates."

Click Service Pack 3 > Remove/Uninstall > Yes. This will uninstall it from your computer. Restart your computer.
Reinstalling Service Pack 3

Navigate to the Service Pack 3 installation page (see link in Resources).

Click Express > Run to download Service Pack 3. After Service Pack 3 has downloaded, the installation window will open.

Click "I Accept" on the installation window after reading the terms and conditions and install the program. Restart your computer.
