Epoxy reinforces objects and is a general adhesive that creates a powerful bond, making it a favorite adhesive if people who fix things for a living. Epoxy resin is easy to clean away, but can be time consuming if it has set for a long time. Clean up any spills or mistakes right away, if possible, when using epoxy resin.
Things You'll Need
- Rubbing alcohol
- Latex gloves
- Two wash cloths
Wearing latex gloves, apply rubbing alcohol to a clean wash cloth.
Rub the wash cloth over the epoxy resin in a circular motion using medium pressure.
Apply soap and water to a corner of the second wash cloth. Wash away any remaining rubbing alcohol and epoxy resin residue.
Soak the other corner of your wash cloth with water and wring out well.
Wipe away the soap. Everything should now be clean.
Tips & Warnings
- If you do not like the smell of rubbing alcohol, you can use white vinegar instead. Vinegar will take longer to break the epoxy resin down, but it will do the job.
- Make sure to work in a well ventilated area when working with epoxy resin.
