Christian healing books cover a wide gamut of subjects: Finding peace, identifying causes of fears, developing spiritually, finding and maintaining successful relationships, and dealing with the pain of loss are a few of the Christian healing books on the shelves at bookstores. Writing a Christian healing book entails researching and writing about healing of all forms -- physical, emotional and spiritual. Christian healing books are always grounded in Bible scripture and should be written with the assistance of the Holy Spirit as the writer's main guide. Publishers at Sovereign World list in their mission statement that Christian healing books should be "firmly founded on the Word of God" and should "reflect the inspiration of the Holy Spirit".

Things You'll Need:

  • Bible Prayer Computer for research
  1. Step 1

Decide your focus. Healing books can focus on a wide range of subjects. Relationships, depression, anxiety, physical illnesses, and spiritual development are just a few of the subjects a writer can tackle. Writers of Christian books do not just focus on healing trials and tribulations; they are just as frequently approached from the perspective of preventing trials and tribulations. Consider what healing means to you as you choose a focus.

  2. Step 2

Use scripture. Use biblical passages in your book to support the solutions you are writing about. All good writing contains a main idea, which tells what the book is going to about. For example, a book may be about healing a bad relationship. That is the main idea of the book, and you should research scripture to find passages that relate to relationships. In addition to a main idea, a book must have text that supports the main idea. Make sure to use biblical scripture in your support.

  3. Step 3

Pray while writing. Because Christian healing books delve deeply into Christian principles, it is a good idea to approach the writing of your book with prayer. The Holy Spirit is an important aspect of any Christian endeavor and should be sought while preparing your book. Consider also enlisting the aid of a pastor or other spiritual adviser to pray with you.

  4. Step 4

Survey the markets for Christian healing books. Browse through publishers' mission statements and writing guidelines to get a firm idea of what a Christian healing book is. All publishers have a certain writing formula they are looking for in a book. Check out Christian publishers to see what is selling in the current market. Surveying the titles may give you an idea where to focus your book.
