Instructions

  1. Glasses With Glass Lenses

    • 1

Find a white toothpaste, not a gel, with no whiteners. Gels or chemical whiteners could further damage your glasses.

    • 2

Dab the toothpaste on a cotton swab.

    • 3

Place the toothpaste on the scratches and allow to sit for a few minutes.

    • 4

Rinse the toothpaste off and clean your lens with a lens cloth.

    Glasses With Plastic Lenses

    • 5

Take a cotton swab and dab a bit of Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream on the front and back of the lens.

    • 6

Let the Armour Etch soak in for about five minutes.

    • 7

Run water over the lenses. Dry with a lens cloth or toilet paper.

Tips & Warnings

  • Test Armour Etch on a small part of your glasses first, and never use it on glass lenses. It will leave your glasses frosted and ruined. Be aware that Armour Etch removes anti-glare coating from plastic lenses. Usually it is the coating that is scratched. If you are unsure or have doubts, take your glasses in to an optometrist.

  • Wear gloves when using Armour Etch, as it is a glass etching cream and could be considered harsh on the skin.
