Instructions

    • 1

Find the brackets on each side of the lower back of your La-Z-Boy recliner. Each bracket has an arm that locks. The back is locked into place when the arms are in the down position.

    • 2

Raise each locking arm up at a 30- to 45-degree angle. Slide the arms up with a flat screwdriver if necessary, being careful not to gouge the chair's fabric.

    • 3

Grasp the sides of the chair back with your hands. Lift up evenly on the back to pull it out of the brackets on the base of the chair.

    • 4

Reinstall the recliner's back by lining it up with the brackets. Push the back downward over the brackets. Press the arms down to lock the back in place.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure to do both sides otherwise it will not come off.
