Go without shoes on this great day!
Go without shoes on this great day!

June 1st is national go barefoot day. It is the day to rebel against shoes. Celebrate it in style with these suggestions.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • no shoes
  • foot cream
  • fingernail polish
  • pan
  • water
  • grass to run in
  1. Step 1

The 1st step is to remove your shoes. If you are at work then take shoes off and run in the grass during your break or lunch. If you sit behind a desk at work, take off those shoes when the boss is not looking.

  2. Step 2

The 2nd step to celebrate the day go through the old shoes you have and either throw them away or give them to a local charity. Suggestions for charities are goodwill, union mission or salvation army. Then after the shoes are sorted, throw out all the old and tore socks in the dresser. This will help organize the space in your home socks and give a excuse to go out and buy more shoes and socks.

  3. Step 3

The best way to celebrate the day is to pamper your feet once you get home. Put some warm water in a big bowl and soak your feet. Then dry the feet and put some lotion on them. If your feet are extremely bad then use a ped egg to soften your feet and then put the lotion on your feet. Then if you are a woman paint your toenails so they look good.

Tips & Warnings
  • You don't have to do this once a year! You can go barefoot and/or pamper your feet once a week.
  • Add salts to the tub to soak your feet if desired
  • if your feet are cracked then beware of scraping your feet
