It is that time a year again and all of the weeds are here to remind us of the extra yard work we have to do. Their are so many weed control items on the market, but here is an idea to use something you already have in your home to kill those weeds the eco friendly way. It is also environmentally friendly and you will not have to spend money on eco friendly products.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • salt
  • boiled water
  1. Step 1

Weeds are growing all over the place threatening your gardens and sidewalks. First make sure you have some extra salt. You can get a large container of salt if needed, that depends on how many weeds you have.

  2. Step 2

Next get a pan and boil some tap water. After the water boils put it a container that will be easy to carry out into your yard to kill weeds the eco friendly way.

  3. Step 3

Pour your boiling water over the desired area where you wish to stop the weed growth. After that dump the salt on the weed. Use enough salt to cover the center of the weed. Weed control really is that simple. The weeds die just like that because salt water can be a great weed killer. This is great if you have small children or animals that you wish to protect from harmful chemicals. It is also eco friendly for the environment, too. You can also use this to stop the growth of maple trees near the foundation of a house.
