How to Troubleshoot a Kenmore Washer & Dryer Combo
A Kenmore washer and dryer combo is a stackable unit that has a dryer on top and a washer on the bottom. When your Kenmore washer and dryer combo are not working properly, you can troubleshoot to identify and even fix the problem. Does this Spark an idea?

Verify that the power cord for the washer unit is plugged into the wall outlet.

Check the "Cycle Control" dial on the washer and make sure that the indicator aligned with the wash cycle. If the indicator is not aligned, turn it slightly to the right and pull it out to start the washer.

Set a cycle on the washer and then change the water selector to see if the hot and cold water are working. Check the hot and cold water faucets to see if they are closed, if the washer is not filling with water.

Open the door to the circuit panel and check if a breaker has tripped. Reset the breaker or turn the breaker back on. Reset the washer and see if it now runs.

Remove some of the wet clothes from the washer and then turn it on. If the washer runs after removing a few clothes, it was overloaded.
Dryer Will Not Run

Verify that the power cord for the dryer is plugged into the wall outlet.

Open the door to the circuit panel and see if a breaker has tripped. Reset the breaker or turn the breaker back on. Reset the washer and see if it now runs.

Open and close the door to the dryer and then press the Start button. If the dryer comes on the door was not completely closed.

Press and hold the "Start" button for at lest two seconds. The dryer will not start if you press the start button too quickly.
