Things You'll Need:

Step 1
Launch Microsoft Excel and create a new blank worksheet.

In cell A1 type in "DATE", in cell B1 type in "DESCRIPTION", in cell C1 type in "PRICE" and in cell D1 type in QUANTITY. Row 1 will act as our column headers. Your worksheet should look like the one in the picture associated with this step.

Step 3
Click on cell A2 to put the focus box in there.

Step 4
Click on "Window" from the menu options located at the top of the screen as circled in red in the picture associated with this step.

Step 5
On the submenu that appears select "Freeze Panes" as circled in red in the picture associated with this step.

Step 6
You will now notice that a darker line separates row 1 from the rest of the rows. If you were to scroll down you will see that row 1 is frozen and will not scroll.
