Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the electric and water supply to the dishwasher (the water shutoff valve should be under the sink).

    • 2

Open the door of your Frigidaire dishwasher and remove the dish racks. Remove the middle spray arm, if there is one, as that will make it easier to remove the upper one.

    • 3

Remove the upper spray arm. Use a wrench to remove the bolt in the middle of the arm. Watch out for any rubber or metal washers and how they are placed; you'll need to set them aside for reuse. If the washers are damaged, replace them with new ones when you reattach the spray arm.

    • 4

Fill a bucket with warm water and soap. Make sure the bucket is large enough that you will be able to completely submerge the upper spray arm. Let the arm soak for up to an hour. Use a spray hose to wash off any debris that survives the soaking.

    • 5

Replace the upper spray arm of your Frigidaire dishwasher. Make sure you replace it exactly the same way you removed it, including the bolts and washers.
