One small way that you can save money in your household budget is by creating your own foam hand soap. You can purchase bulk generic liquid soap to make this project even more of a money saver. Foaming soap is also very popular with kids and can help them get into a regular hand washing routine.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foam Soap Dispenser
  • Small bowl
  • Liquid Soap
  • Water
  1. Step 1

The next time you purchase a foaming hand soap, be sure it's in a dispenser you like because you'll reuse it for this project. Once the dispenser is empty, rinse it out.

  2. Step 2

Choose your liquid soap. Translucent (soap you can see through) works best. You can use hand soap or dish washing soap, whichever you prefer. If your dispenser is clear you can color coordinate the soap with your room' s decor. You can also add a few drops of essential oil to a fragrance-free soap to give it a scent you like.

  3. Step 3

Add 3 tablespoons of the liquid soap into your dispenser. Place a small mark on the back of the bottle to mark the level this rises to. Add 2/3 cup of warm water and make another small mark on the bottle to mark this level. These marks will prevent you from having to measure next time, just fill to the marks. Now is the time to add any essential oil that you'd like. Use these dispensers throughout your house to save money on your household budget.
