Kids will go wild for Alligator Easter Eggs.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • eggs
  • white out/paper white
  • green dye
  • sharp back marker
  1. Step 1

To hard boil eggs, fill a pot with enough cold water to cover. Bring to a rolling boil, then turn Heat down to Medium High. Cook for 8-10 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Promptly pace eggs in iced water for 5 minutes. This will ensure the yolks will stay yellow and no green line appears around them. Remove and let sit on a flat surface to warm.

  3. Step 3

Prepare green dye. Boil water and add to green egg dye packet. Immerse eggs completely for 5-10 minutes. The longer they stay, the darker the color.

  4. Step 4

Pat dry eggs with a paper towel. Hold the egg horizontally with the tip (or nose) pointing at you. With the white out make two circles for eyes near the tip.

  5. Step 5

Use the black marker to draw 2 snout holes on the nose (tip) of the egg, and a an alligator smile just underneath them.

  6. Step 6

With the black marker, draw small U's and V's just behind the eyes for scales. The U's and V's will be pointing away from the tip and eyes.

  7. Step 7

When the white out eyes have dryed, draw pupils with the black marker.

on 5/1/2009 This is so cute! I never would have thought to make an Easter egg into crocodile. Very creative. 5* (although it isn't showing up when I click on the stars)
