How to Make Your Own Pendulum

Using a Pendulum

Pendulums are useful tools that can help a clairvoyant or psychic medium in their readings. Using a pendulum can be particularly useful when the psychic reading seems unclear or diluted, and the message does not seem definitive. To use a pendulum, you hold a string straight out in front of you with a weight at the bottom. Hold the bottom of the weight so that it does not move. Next, state a truth, such as "my hair is brown," or "my eyes are blue." If the statement is true, see which way the pendulum moves. Then, state a false statement and take note of the change in direction. Once you know which way the pendulum moves for "True" and "False," you can find out specific information from the Universe and decide what life paths will be most beneficial to your life. Here is a simple way to create your own pendulum to use for psychic readings or personal predictions.

Things You'll Need

• 18 Inch Piece of String
• 2 Inch Stone

Instructions

1. 

   Find a stone or a mineral that is around 2 inches in diameter. The stone can be polished, rough or a combination of the two. If a certain type of mineral appeals to you, or you find a special significance in a specific kind of stone, find one that meets the size requirements for a pendulum.

2. 

   Wrap an 18-inch piece of string all the way around the stone you selected. Tie the string to itself tightly. Wrap the string around the stone again, this time wrapping it the opposite way. When the string is at the bottom of the stone, twist the string underneath the first wrapping. Continue to wrap the string around the stone, and twist it underneath the wrapping at the top of the stone.

3. 

   Knot the string tightly at the top of the stone. Now that your pendulum is complete, hold it out in front of you to make sure that it hangs properly. If the stone hangs crookedly, or if the string catches oddly on the stone, adjust the string accordingly. You will want the stone to hang straight down from the string.
