Cut a piece of fabric to the size of your latch hook, including the 1/2-inch edge.

    • 3

Place the fabric right-side down on top of the yarn. Pin in place.

    • 4

Sew along 3 sides with a 1/2-inch seam allowance, keeping your stitch line right where the yarn begins.

    • 5

Turn the pillow right-side out and pull free any yarn caught in your seam.

    • 6

Stuff the pillow to desired plumpness.

    • 7

Fold both edges of the last side in by 1/2 inch. Sew in place.

Tips & Warnings

  • The sewing can be done by machine or by hand, but some sewing machines will have a difficult time with the heavy fabric and the rug backing.

  • Always check your seam to make sure the yarn is not caught in the stitches. If a strand does get caught, it can usually be pulled free afterward.
