This tutorial will demonstrate how to make a simple Easter egg card. Easter egg cards are great handmade gifts for your loved ones on Easter day. This is a great project for parents that do not want to deal with the muss and fuss of dying real Easter eggs. An Easter egg hunt can even be arranged by hiding the cards the way eggs are usually hid. Place gift certificates and other prizes inside the cards for people to find during the egg hunt.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • card stock
  • a drawing pencil
  • colored pencils
  • your imagination
  • scissors
  1. Step 1
    Fold a piece of cardstock in half.

  2. Step 2
    Draw the Easter egg.

    Draw an Easter egg on the card, but make sure part of the adjoining edges will remain intact when cut. Look at the picture below to see how part of the egg is drawn right against the fold of the card.

    Use scissors to cut out the egg card. Young children may need help with cutting.

    Color and decorate the Easter egg card.

    Experiment and make a variety of large and small Easter egg cards. Have fun making various designs with colored pencils, or use markers and crayons.

  • Use a variety of colored pencils to decorate the cards.
  • This project is good for people who do not want to deal with the mess of dying Easter eggs.
  • Have an Easter egg hunt with these egg cards as opposed to using real eggs. Hide gift certificates and other prizes inside the cards for people to find.
  • Young children should be supervised when cutting.
