Things You'll Need:
- Plastic Easter Eggs
- Candy
- Volunteers
- Easter Bunny
- Camera
- Park
-
Step 1
You will need to begin planning well in advance for your Easter egg hunt fundraiser. You should begin by reserving a park with your local parks and recreation department. Once you have a date set and a location reserved you can move forward with advertising your event.
-
Step 2
You will need to set a reasonable fee for your Easter egg hunt. A good fee would be $3.00 a child. This fee would include the Easter Egg Hunt, getting their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, and some other fun games.
-
Step 3
You should begin developing fliers to post around your town advertising the Easter Egg Hunt. You should also place an ad in your local paper and have ads placed on your local radio stations.
-
Step 4
You will need to have volunteers fill plastic Easter eggs with candy. You will also need to have your volunteers hide the Easter eggs for the hunt. You should have at least one grand prize egg that has a gift certificate in it. Many retailers will donate gift certificates for this purpose.
-
Step 5
You will need to set up an area where the children can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
-
Step 6
Some other activities that you can have for the families during the event include egg races where the kids have to race with eggs on spoons. The winner of the race could get an extra egg filled with candy. Another activity would be a bunny hop race where the kids race each other while hopping on one foot.
-
Step 7
After the event is over make sure your volunteers help clean up the park area. I hope your organization can put the funds they have raised to good use!

on 4/5/2009 This is a super cool idea. Because it's so cheap I can easily see the majority of the non-profits I volunteer at doing this and earning some money for their organizations.
