How to Sew Hair Scrunchies
Hair scrunchies are a fun and easy accessory that are very useful for long hair. With a pretty scrunchy, you can easily tie your hair back in a quick pony tail and be done with it.

Things You'll Need
- 6-inch by 22-inch strip of fabric 8 inches elastic (1/4-inch wide) Sewing machine Sewing notions (scissors, thread, pins) Iron Tape measure

Cut the fabric into the specified dimensions. Fold under 1/2 inch along a short edge and press.

Fold the strip in half lengthwise with right sides facing in. Unfold the fold made in Step 1.

Stitch the long edge and the short edge without the fold with a 1/2-inch seam allowance.

Stitch the elastic to the sewn 6-inch edge at the seam line.

Turn the fabric tube right side out by pulling it along the length of elastic.

Stitch the elastic ends together to form a circle.

Adjust the seam of the fabric to make sure it is straight around the circle of scrunchy. Refold under the 1/2-inch edge from Step 1.

Conceal the raw edge of the scrunchy by pushing it into the folded edge. Pin to secure.

Sew the ends of fabric together and remove the pins to finish the scrunchy.
