Things You'll Need:
- Loose light colored shirt
- Jeans
- Comfortable shoes (it's better to wear ones without shoelaces so that you don't trip in the pits
- One large sealed water bottle
- Sunscreen
- A portable spray bottle fan
- About $100 for merch, water, and food
- Earplugs
- Pen and paper
-
Step 1
Buy your tickets online. Tickets are usually $40-$45. Make sure you get the tickets that you can print online. The lines are too long to stand in the will call line and then the line to get in. Also if you want, buy the parking ticket, it's expensive, but worth it. You won't have to worry about parking, and the venue staff usually does a real great job at getting cars in and out.
-
Step 2
Getting dressed: I suggest wearing a light colored t-shirt and jeans. DO NOT WEAR A BLACK SHIRT, the sun will be attracted to it and cause you to get even hotter. DO NOT WEAR A TANK TOP WITH STRAPS, you will get sun burnt, and the straps will hurt it even more. DO NOT WEAR SHORT SHORTS. I made this mistake last summer. Because you'll be walking around a lot and the shorts might start to irritate your legs and there is a lot of dust at some venues, so jeans help to keep the dust off your sweaty legs. Comfortable shoes are important. Don't wear flip flops. Wear either slip ons with no shoe laces or comfortable tennis shoes so that you don't get blisters. Wear sunscreen, especially if you're in Arizona. Even if you say, "Oh, I never get burnt." Put it on anyways. You'll be outside all day long. Where a hat if you'd like too.
-
Step 3
Make sure you have a good breakfast before you leave. Eat something that's easy on your stomach like a bagel or cereal. If you decide not to eat, you'll probably get sick. Also drink lots of water the night before so you don't get dehydrated. And get plenty of sleep! If you have bad hearing at concerts or tinitus (ringing of the ears) make sure you bring earplugs along. Depending on how far the venue, make sure you leave a good two-three hours before doors open. Expect traffic and figure out where you're going to park.
-
Step 4
When you get to the venue, and are waiting in line make sure you're not in the will call line. While you're waiting, there will be musicians going around making you listen to their music and wanting you to buy it. Don't buy too many of these cds, because your money will go fast. Simply listen to the music, be polite and say you'll check them out online.
-
Step 5
Once you're inside, locate the bathrooms, food vendors, and stages. There are a lot of stages. Next, find the schedule, and write down where your favorite bands will be playing and at what times. Then find your favorite band's tents to see if they will have any signings, meet and greets, or acoustic performances throughout the day. Also stop by to the Alternative Press tent to get the Warped Tour Official Program, and you can have your favorite bands sign that.
-
Step 6
Have fun and enjoy your day! Stay with your friends, don't hesitate to talk to that kid with the mohawk because everyone at Warped Tour is friendly if you're looking for something. And who knows, you might make a new friend!
