How to Hang a Guitar on the Wall

Display your guitar by hanging it on the wall.

Hanging a guitar on the wall is a great way to display it in your home, office or studio. Not only does hanging a guitar make a nice presentation, but it is also an efficient, space-saving way to store a guitar. You can hang your instrument on the wall using a guitar hanger. These devices are made specifically for hanging guitars on the wall, and they are manufactured by a number of companies.

Things You'll Need

• Guitar hanger
• 2 screws
• Screwdriver

Instructions

1. Place the guitar hanger on your wall and move it around until you find where you would like to hang your guitar. Make sure there is enough clearance for the guitar to be placed in the hanger after it is attached to the wall. Choose a spot on your wall where a stud is located for a more secure placement of your guitar.

2. Hold the guitar hanger against the wall, place a screw in one of its holes and screw it into the wall, using a screwdriver. Use a drywall screw if fastening the guitar hanger directly to the drywall. Use a regular screw if screwing the guitar hanger into a stud.

3. Screw the second screw into the wall hanger. Make sure both screws are securely attached to the wall.

4. Apply pressure to the guitar hanger with your hand to make sure it is secure before placing your guitar in it.
