Make Fake Blood With Makeup

Fake blood is usually used for Halloween, but it is also used to create the look of blood in plays and movies, as well as on television shows. It is not wise to use fake blood in order to play a prank on someone, so please use fake blood wisely. Usually, fake blood is made with food items so it is not toxic to the person wearing it. Although there are many recipes for fake blood, many of them do not look particularly realistic, due to the bright red color of food coloring. Instead, consider using a non-toxic maroon powder blush to give your fake blood a realistic color.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Karo syrup Non-toxic maroon powder blush Chocolate syrup Plastic squeeze bottle Red food coloring
  1. Step 1

Add one part chocolate syrup to three parts Karo syrup in a clear, plastic squeeze bottle. You can purchase both chocolate syrup and Karo syrup at the grocery store. If you can't find Karo syrup, you can use any brand of clear corn syrup.

  2. Step 2

Shake the bottle well, putting your finger over the tip of the squeeze bottle to prevent spilling.

  3. Step 3

Add a few pinches of maroon powder blush to the mixture. Shake well, holding your finger over the tip of the squeeze bottle.

  4. Step 4

If the color is still not as red as desired, add more maroon powder blush to the mixture and shake thoroughly.

  5. Step 5

If the color is too brown, add a drop of red food coloring to the mixture and shake thoroughly.

  6. Step 6

Apply to the face and body using the squeeze bottle.
