Instructions

    • 1

Open your glass windows and use a damp cloth to wipe all the edges of the frame and the bottom of the window sill.

    • 2

Put the dusting-brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner and remove any debris from the window screens.

    • 3

Close the windows and cover them completely in window cleaner. They should not be dripping wet, but the entire window should be thoroughly covered.

    • 4

Wipe off the window glass with a lint-free cloth. Wipe from left to right, rather than up and down, for better results.

    • 5

Open the window back up and pop out the screen. Spray glass cleaner onto your lint-free cloth and reach out to clean the outside with vertical, rather than horizontal, wipes. Tilt-in windows are easier to clean because you can just tilt them in to clean the outside panes.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you can't get to the outside of your windows from the inside, remove the screens and close the window. Then, blast them using a high-powered spray nozzle on your hose.
