1
Collect bottle caps to use as your table cover. Get bottle caps from glass bottles such as beer, wine coolers, soda and water. Ask your friends to add to your collection to speed up the gathering process. Collect a lot or a little depending on the size of the table you wish to cover.
-
2
Make sure you have collected enough bottle caps by laying them on the surface of your table. Form rows of bottle caps, where the caps are touching, to ensure your table top is sufficiently covered.

3
Create a design with your bottle caps once the table is sufficiently covered. Depending on the colors of caps that you have, you may choose to create a pattern using every other color or several different colors. You may choose to use one particular bottle cap to outline the table, or if you have an appropriate combination of colors, you may want to create a picture on your table using the bottle caps.

4
Leave your finished design on the table, and prepare to glue the caps. Use a glue gun, and make sure you have enough glue sticks to finish the entire table. Starting at the bottom-left corner, lift the bottle cap and squirt hot glue in its place. Place the bottle cap into the glue, and press it down firmly for 10 seconds. Continue this process with each of the bottle caps, making sure they are touching.

5
Allow your bottle cap table top to dry for at least 24 hours before you place anything on it.
