How to Install a Rain Shower Head

Many people like to personalize their bathroom by adding personal touches that are inexpensive. By changing your shower head to a new rain shower head you will be creating a new experience in showering.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Adjustable wrench Teflon tape Wash cloth New shower head
  1. Step 1

    Remove the old shower head, using the adjustable wrench. Take care not to damage the pipe itself. Use a dry wash cloth as a cushion if needed.

  2. Step 2

    Thoroughly clean the pipe of any rust, dirt or mineral deposits and dry it completely.

  3. Step 3

    Apply Teflon tape to the threads of the pipe.

  4. Step 4

    Attach the new rain shower head to the pipe with the adjustable wrench hand-tightening only.

  5. Step 5

    Turn water on and make sure the connection does not leak. If it does tighten slowly until leak stops.
