Check your owners' manual or the manufacturer's website to find out what type of lubricant you need for your treadmill. There are several different types so it's important to have the right one for your treadmill.

    • 3

Use the allen wrench to loosen the screws that hold the walking belt by turning the screws 10 full turns on each side of the rear roller.

    • 4

Apply 1/2 oz. of lubricant directly in the middle of the walk area underneath the walking belt upon the deck.

    • 5

Tighten the rear roller screws 10 turns on each side. Plug the treadmill in and run it at 6 miles per hour for 2 to 3 minutes to spread the lubricant evenly. Wipe excess lubricant from the sides of the belt.

    • 6

Walk on the treadmill to check for proper tension on belt. Tighten or loosen the roller screws with the allen wrench as needed.
