How to Make a Flower Girl Crown

Next to the bride, the flower girl is the most remembered person in the bridal party when it comes to what she was wearing. A simple crown made of wire, ribbon and flowers can make your flower girl look like a little princess who'll be the talk of the wedding.

Things You'll Need

  • Coiled florist wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Pliers
  • Florist tape
  • 6 to 8 stems of silk flowers or ivy
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • 4 yards of 1/4-inch ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Jewels (optional)
  • Measure the flower girl's head with the wire.

  • Trim the wire to fit but leave some extra length at each end.

  • Twist the ends of the wire together with the pliers.

  • Wrap the wire with floral tape.

  • Wrap the wire with the 1/4-inch ribbon and hot glue the ends.

  • Attach small bunches of flowers or ivy to leaves with hot glue. Continue until the headpiece is covered.

  • Attach more ribbon to the back of the crown. Tie the ribbon in the middle around the wire and trim to the desired length.

  • Glue single jewels to any empty spaces or glue strings of jewels to the crown in a loop.
