How to Install an Eljer Toilet

Eljer is a manufacturer of bath and kitchen fixtures. The company makes and markets accessories for commercial, residential and institutional buildings. Things You'll Need

• Eljer toilet kit
• Electric drill
• Drill bit
• Anchors
• Wrench
• Screwdriver
• Hacksaw

Instructions

1. 

   Place the round metal rough-in 12-inches from all bathroom walls. Insert the drill bit into the three pre-fabricated holes in the rough-in flange and drill holes in the floor.

2. Insert anchors through the holes in the rough-in flange and on into the floor.

3. 

   Slide both of the flange bolts onto the flange of the rough-in, one on each side. Sit the wax bowl ring in the center of the rough-in between the flange bolts.

4. 

   Set the Eljer toilet on top of the flange bolts so they protrude through the pre-fabricated holes found on both sides of the toilet bowl.

5. Place the clear cap snap washers, then the steel washers, and lastly the lock nuts, over the flange bolts. Tighten the lock nut with a wrench.

6. Cut off the excess part of the flange bolt with a hacksaw. Secure the white dome-shaped plastic caps over the bolts.

7. Place the tank to bowl rubber gasket around the flush valve found on the bottom of the tank.

8. 

   Put the washers over the tank to bowl bolts. Insert the bolts through the 2 holes found at the bottom of the tank, one on each side of the flush valve. Insert the bolts through the inside of the tank so they protrude out the bottom.

9. 

   Carefully pick up the tank and place the bolts into the holes found on the back of the toilet seat. Attach lock nuts over the bolts from underneath the back end of the toilet. Tighten the bolts using a wrench and a long screwdriver.

Tips & Warnings

• Lay your toilet parts and accessories out on a towel or other soft surface so you have easy access to each part as needed.

• Be careful when handling your Eljer toilet. Ceramic is as delicate as glass, and can break if you drop it.
